Kent and Medway SAB

KMSAB Training & Events

The Kent and Medway Safeguarding Adults Board (KMSAB) commissions multi-agency safeguarding adults training for staff from the statutory sector. Due to funding restrictions, KMSAB training is only available to staff from partner agencies which contribute financially to the Board.

Face to face training has not been possible due to the Coronavirus pandemic, which has led to the development of facilitated online training sessions, using a video conferencing platform.  The training is interactive, relevant to practice and will form part of delegates’ CPD requirements

There is no charge for staff from the statutory partner agencies to undertake this training, although the Board does levy a fee for late cancellation or non-attendance, which is non-discretionary.

About the training workshops

We have five workshops available to professionals who wish to extend their understanding of safeguarding in adults.  The training has been developed as part of an integrated programme of development for staff and each partner agency provides its own introductory safeguarding adults training, as well as other associated learning.  As safeguarding is integral to all work, it is important that participants who attend the courses have the agreement and support of their line manager.

Those wishing to book a place should ensure the training is appropriate for their role and contact their agency lead for learning and development in the first instance.
