Kent and Medway SAB

KMSAB Training & Events

The Kent and Medway Safeguarding Adults Board (KMSAB) commissions multi-agency safeguarding adults training for staff from the statutory sector who have a responsibility for direct practice in safeguarding. We are currently in the process of arranging a new programme of training courses, please check back on our website at a later date for more information.

In the meantime, please see our other learning opportunities that are available below.

To support agencies that do not have one, the KMSAB has also developed a competence framework which provides employees and employers with a benchmark for the minimum standard of competence required of those who work to safeguard adults across a range of sectors. To access this framework, visit our useful links and resources for professionals page.

    KMSAB e-learning foundation module

Kent and Medway Safeguarding Adults Board has partnered with training provider, DCC-I, to create an e-learning module. This module will focus on the safeguarding principles to provide a basic introduction to topics such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act. This e-learning is designed to act as an introduction to, or a refresher of, the safeguarding principles.

This is not a substitute for your agency’s own safeguarding training or the KMSAB multi-agency training courses. The quiz at the end of the e-learning is for your personal reflection and does not provide a formal review of your learning.
